Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti at First Symposium on space educational activities

Mercoledì 9 Dicembre 2015

With two hundred day in a row on the International Space Station Samantha Cristoforetti is the astronaut who has spent longest near the stars on a single flight.
Now that she is back on planet earth, she absolutely had to attend the first European symposium on space activities for students held from December 9th to 11th at the Congress Centre.
Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti – together with the Rector of the University of Padua, Saverio Rizzuto - gave an hour-long lesson to more than two hundred students who had flown to Padua from Europe, Asia and the Middle East for the lecture.
The symposium organised by the "Giuseppe Colombo" University Centre for Space Studies and Activities (CISAS) and the European Space Agency (ESA)  in partnership with the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the Padua City Council and the Veneto Region  Authority ended as a resounding success.
